How to keep your Claycali pieces shining for a lifetime.

At Claycali, each piece is crafted with high-quality materials designed to accompany you on every adventure. While our jewelry is built for longevity and backed by a Lifetime color Warranty, a little extra care goes a long way in preserving its original brilliance.

1. The "Last On, First Off" Rule

To preserve the luster of your jewelry, it should be the final addition to your outfit and the first thing you take off.

  • Avoid Chemicals: Apply perfumes, lotions, and hairsprays before putting on your jewelry to prevent chemical buildup.
  • High-Impact Activities: We recommend removing your jewelry before intense workouts or heavy lifting to avoid unnecessary scratches.

2. Preserving the Golden Color

Our jewelry is engineered with advanced plating technology designed to never fade, tarnish, or turn your skin green. To maintain that "just-bought" glow:

  • Rinse After Adventure: While our pieces are 100% waterproof, we recommend rinsing them with fresh water after swimming in the ocean (salt) or a pool (chlorine) to remove residue.
  • Dry Thoroughly: Never leave your jewelry damp. After rinsing, use a soft cloth to pat it dry until it is bone-dry.

3. Cleaning Your Jewelry

  • Daily Maintenance: After each wear, gently wipe your piece with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove skin oils or dust.
  • Deep Cleaning: Use warm water with a drop of mild, detergent-free soap. Soak for a few minutes, rinse with fresh water, and pat completely dry.
  • Important: Do NOT use abrasive cleaners, alcohol, or harsh chemicals as they may wear down the finish.

4. Material-Specific Care

  • Pearls: Our pearls are organic and need to "breathe." They stay hydrated by absorbing natural oils from your skin, so wear them often! Never use ultrasonic cleaners or steam on pearls, and avoid storing them in airtight containers for long periods.
  • Cubic Zirconia & Crystals: These stones can lose their sparkle if coated in lotions or soap. A quick rinse in warm water and drying with a soft cloth will restore their rainbow-like shimmer.

5. Proper Storage

  • Keep it Dry: Always ensure your jewelry is completely dry before storing it away.
  • Avoid Tangles: Store each piece separately in your Claycali pouch or a lined jewelry box to prevent scratching and tangling.
  • Avoid Sunlight: Keep your jewelry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity.
